With the Suzuki DL1000 DL1050 SV1000 and the Kawasaki KLV1000, a construction fualt can play occurs in the clutch basket.

This manifests itself in a rattling sound and vibration of the clutch between 2500 and 3500 rpm.

During the modification we carry out, the clutch basket is dismantled and a bronze sliding bearing placed between the aluminum housing and the large gear.

The steel spring plate with the six damper springs will be locked.

The damper springs remain with this one modification, so just like the original, they are loose in the basket.

Alternative methods for these coupling modifications are offered where sometimes the damper springs clamped.

NB! This will cause the damper springs to break irreversibly resulting in enormous engine damage.
